Our inaugural Square Competition begins! It will be SKYGG vs SPACEX! 5 players from each Square will represent their guild and compete to accumulate as many points as possible. With a prize pool of 50,000 $BLAST, the winning team will take 70% of the total $BLAST prize pool. Good luck!
The Square Competition is where top-performing Squares from the previous month compete for the title of the ultimate Square and win $BLAST Reward. The Squares that have accumulated the most Total scores will be eligible to participate.
$BLAST Reward Integration
We’ll be integrating $BLAST as the prize for the Square Competition, marking our first online tournament $Blast integration!
- The $BLAST token prize pool will be funded by the total score minting gas fee accumulated from the previous month
- Every member in the Square will earn $BLAST
Competition format
- Each participating Square selects 5 players to represent them. The Square Owner will choose the 5 representatives from their Square.
- Square Owners will need to confirm the representatives in the Discord Forum (#COMMUNITY → #square-competition → #2024 October Square Competition)
- Players record their gameplay in ranked mode with a minted score
- Players submit their recordings on X (Twitter)
- Players post the X link in the Discord Forum
- Multiple submissions are allowed, but only the highest score counts
- The Square’s total is calculated by adding the highest score from each of the 5 representatives
- The Square with the highest cumulative score wins
Participation
For October, the top 2 Squares will compete:
- SpaceX (1st place)
- SKYGG (2nd place)
Future plans include expanding participation to the top 2 to 8 Squares each month throughout Split 2.
Reward
Squares receive $BLAST rewards based on their rank. For October, the reward will be distributed between the two competing Squares in a 7:3 ratio. Within each Square:
- 10% of the reward goes to the Square Owner
- The remaining 90% is distributed equally among all Square members
