Welcome to the second split of Spacebar’s Star Sweepers Square Challenge, an exciting collaboration with SKYGG! Building on the success of our inaugural challenge, this second split, running from October to December, continues to revolutionize player engagement within the Star Sweepers ecosystem.
What’s Continuing
For Split 2, we’re maintaining the successful elements from our first split:
- Individual Weekly LeaderboardChallenge
- Square Weekly Leaderboard Challenge
- Square Monthly Leaderboard Challenge
The structure and reward systems for these challenges remain unchanged, providing continuity for our players.
What’s new
Individual Invitational
Individual Invitational will occur in Week 1 of each month for Split 2
October: Oct. 7–13
November: Nov. 4–10
December: Dec. 2–8
Qualification
Players qualify for the next month’s Individual Invitational by reaching the Global User Leaderboard Top 128 in Week 1, 2, or 3 of the current month.
- For October 2024 Individual Invitational, players who made Top 128 in Week 1, 2, or 3 of September qualify
- For November 2024 Individual Invitational, players who made Top 128 in Week 1, 2, or 3 of October qualify
- For December 2024 Individual Invitational, players who made Top 128 in Week 1, 2, or 3 of November qualify
Qualification in any one week is sufficient. It’s not necessary to make the Top 128 all three weeks. (For example, if you make it to the Top 128 in Week 1 but not Week 2, you are already qualified.)
Qualified participants will receive a pop-up notification upon entering Spacebar. The notification will confirm qualification for the tournament and provide a clickable link to join the designated Discord forum, where participants need to verify themselves by writing their Spacebar username.
How to participate
- Join the Discord forum provided in the pop-up notification (“2024 Oct. Individual Invitational”)
- Verify yourself by writing your Spacebar username
- Record a gameplay video in ranked mode with a minted score
- Submit the video on X (Twitter)
- Post the X link in the Discord forum
- Timeline for October: Oct. 7th 00:00 UTC — 13th 23:59 UTC
Please note that:
- You musy include your nickname, score and Square name in the X post
- Tag any of the Spacebar Core Team member!
- Failure to provide the X link in Discord will result in ineligibility for rewards
- Rankings will be based on the recorded gameplay videos
- For tie-breakers, earlier submissions will be ranked higher
- Only one account per person is allowed. Using multiple accounts will result in disqualification and erasure of records.
Reward
4.34% allocated monthly for Star Sweepers Tournaments
- The Top 32 participants in the Individual Invitational will be rewarded
- If fewer than 32 players participate, rewards will be distributed among participants

The results will be announced on Thursday of Week 2 each Month

New Square vs. Square Competition!
Monthly Square Competition
The Monthly Square Competition is where top-performing Squares from the previous month compete for the title of the ultimate Square and win $BLAST Reward. The Squares that have accumulated the most Total scores will be eligible to participate.
$BLAST Reward Integration
We’ll be integrating $BLAST as the prize for the Square Competition, marking our first online tournament $Blast integration!
- The $BLAST token prize pool will be funded by the total score minting gas fee accumulated from the previous month
- Every member in the Square will earn $BLAST
Competition format
- Each participating Square selects 5 players to represent them. The Square Owner will choose the 5 representatives from their Square.
- Square Owners will need to confirm the representatives in the Discord Forum (#COMMUNITY → #square-competition → #2024 October Square Competition)
- Players record their gameplay in ranked mode with a minted score
- Players submit their recordings on X (Twitter)
- Players post the X link in the Discord Forum
- Multiple submissions are allowed, but only the highest score counts
- The Square’s total is calculated by adding the highest score from each of the 5 representatives
- The Square with the highest cumulative score wins
Participation
For October, the top 2 Squares will compete:
- SpaceX (1st place)
- SKYGG (2nd place)
Future plans include expanding participation to the top 2 to 8 Squares each month throughout Split 2.
Reward
Squares receive $BLAST rewards based on their rank. For October, the reward will be distributed between the two competing Squares in a 7:3 ratio. Within each Square:
- 10% of the reward goes to the Square Owner
- The remaining 90% is distributed equally among all Square members
