As we approach Phase II of Spacebar’s Blast Universe, we’re excited to unveil Spacebar Squares on Blast — a much awaited feature at the heart of Spacebar’s community-driven Web3 gaming experience.
What are Squares
Squares are Massively Multiplayer Online Community Spaces for members to concurrently join, play games, socialize, interact with Blast Dapps, and maximize Points. Squares can be likened to Guilds, where Square Members come together to achieve a common objective — including accumulating Spacebar Points, Spacebar Keys, Blast Points & Gold.
Squares are NFTs (ERC-721) and ERC-6551 Tokenbound Accounts — with Squares being able to hold Spacebar Keys minted by members of the Squares enabling the truly onchain guild model.
Each Square can initially host up to 100 Square Members, with the total capacity of the Square increasing over time.
Roles within Squares
The introduction of Squares also brings about two additional roles within Spacebar — Square Owners and Square Members.
Square Owners
To become a Square Owner, a user must own a Square NFT — by either minting a Square NFT, or purchasing a Square NFT from the marketplace. Square Owners enjoy benefits including:
- Owner Bonus: Additional 2% bonus of the sum of the Square Members Spacebar Points
- PFP NFT: Your PFP NFT represents the identity of the Square
- Rewards: Earn Spacebar Points & Blast Gold
As Squares can only accommodate a limited number of Square Members, Square Owners need to use different strategies to recruit Square Members:
- Recruit ETH Stakers: Leverage capital to increase the TVL of each Square to boost the Square Points.
- Recruit Active Users: Leveraging users who spend time with Spacebar to do more activities.
- Recruit Users from the Same PFP NFT Collection: Recruiting users with the same PFP NFT as the Square Owner grants an additional Spacebar Points.
Square Members
Users can join a Square to become a Square Member, where they can enjoy benefits including:
- Getting more Spacebar Points within the Square
- Participate in Square activities, like games, group missions, Blast Gas Fee Raffle, and Keys to earn activity points
- Join forces with your Square to unlock additional features and maximize Spacebar Points
A user may only join one Square, and thus will need to close wisely on which Square to join.
Square NFT Mint
On Apr. 11, Spacebar will open a mint for up to 256 Squares NFT on Blast. Of the 256 Square NFTs, 30 will be reserved for partners of Spacebar that will onboard their communities — and 26 will be reserved for future partners.
